How Free Shipping Bar Pro works, where it appears, and how to turn it off. For a short video, see the tutorial.

What the app does

The app shows a progress bar on your online store. It tells shoppers how much more they need to spend to reach your free shipping amount. The message and fill update when the cart changes.

Install and save settings

Install the app on your Shopify store.
Set the threshold in your shop currency. Shoppers see this amount in the bar.
Edit the three messages. Use {{amount}} where the remaining total should appear, for example “Add {{amount}} more to unlock free shipping!”.
Pick bar color and text color. Click Save.

Add the bar in the theme editor

Choose one placement. Deep links from the app open your published theme. To use a draft theme, open that theme in the editor first.

Announcement bar (recommended)

Works on all Shopify themes. Appears at the top of the storefront on every template except password and gift card pages.

In the app, click Enable announcement bar.
Turn the embed on under App embeds.
Set padding if you want more or less space inside the bar.
Preview the homepage, a product page, and the cart. Save.

Header app block

Needs an Online Store 2.0 theme. Vintage themes cannot add app blocks. The block is limited to the header group.

In the app, click Add block to header.
Add Free Shipping Bar, drag it into place, set padding, Save.

Turning it off

Embed: Theme settings → App embeds → turn the bar off → Save.
Header block: remove the block from the header section.
Uninstalling the app removes its blocks from the theme and deletes app settings stored for your shop.
